This week, President-elect Obama spoke unambiguously about climate change. He said that sea levels are rising. Drought and famine are spreading. And he said that dealing with climate change is one of the most urgent tasks facing the United States. Urgent is right. By the end of next year the nations of the world are supposed to craft a major international climate treaty. But sticking to that timetable will be difficult for a U-S administration that's yet to take office. There's a world-class collection of Russian Orthodox icon paintings in Massachusetts. Who knew? It's called The Museum of Russian Icons and you'll find it in the small town of Clinton.
